ABOUT ME

This is my little home on the web for myself and my firm Sunwest Ventures. Sunwest Ventures is a boutique advisory and investment firm working with companies on Strategy, Planning, Alignment and Execution related to Business Development, Sales/Marketing and Product/Market Development. At Sunwest, we also have strategic investments in multiple companies where we are involved in either the day to day management, advisors or board members.

Living in Laguna Niguel CA I have a varied background from playing NCAA Water Polo @Chapman University while working as a reserve firefighter to multiple startups and business ventures. My career background is in Sales Mgmt, Marketing, and Biz Dev with experience both with Fortune 100 companies and startups. Having been involved as a founder or co-founder in multiple startups I have developed skills in product development and distribution strategy development that translate well to my clients and their teams.

Much of my career has been spent in the Industrial Safety, Industrial/MRO, Environmental and Home Hardware markets and have spent a lot of time and have investments in the consumer electronics market, specifically the smart home markets. I have done advisory work with clients in the tech world and food service, environmental products, and household cleaners so I understand my client's issues and 'go to market' needs. Additionally I am an investor & partner in mfg company making green products in the environmental clean up and green cleaner arena. I am very active in my local church and enjoy body surfing, SUP (stand up paddling), yacht racing (off shore and 1 design) and snow skiing. I am blessed to have an amazing wife and we live just a couple of miles from the beach where my wife, son and I spend as much time as possible. On the water, in the water or carving turns on frozen water I am happiest!
